Children's book reading from 4 years
Freedom shapes our lives. It is a fundamental right, but by no means a matter of course. Freedom often has to be fought for with great effort, and for many it is unattainable. This book helps to understand what the big word means: why freedom means being allowed to be different. Why being free means being able to know and ask everything. And also why freedom sometimes smells of sweat and cheesy feet and often requires a great deal of courage!
Sybille Hein writes books for young and old, radio plays, satirical texts and many subversive songs. Her illustrations can be found in books, on fabric collections and regularly in the program with the elephant.
