Exhibitions at the Schwerin State Museum

Summer, sun, summer vacation: Now is the time for adventure.
Exciting stories, creative hands-on activities, and surprising discoveries await vacationers of all ages at the castles and museums of the State Castles, Gardens, and Art Collections of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (SSGK M-V). Whether on an animal safari in the castle, following in the footsteps of princesses and dukes, playing Baroque games, going on a moonlight hike, or in the art workshop—boredom takes a vacation here.

Events at the Schwerin State Museum:

July 8, August 5, 3:00 p.m.
ART for Little Ones
Even the youngest children marvel with great curiosity at our museum galleries and the many paintings on the walls. They experience art with multiple senses, grasp the motifs in the pictures through playful activities, and are encouraged to express what they’ve discovered. In the creative session, children have the opportunity to form their own picture of the world—their very own picture.
An event for families and child care providers with children ages 3 to 6.
