The summer concert series at the historic St. Mary’s Church in Barth continues on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. with a special ensemble evening.
Under the title “klangverwandte sommerweisen,” the ensemble tresonare will present a varied program of music from different eras, complemented by improvisations and recitations.
The ensemble consists of Juliane Gilbert (cello, organ, flute, alto), Clemens Heidrich (bass-baritone, recitation), and Elke Voigt (organ, soprano). The three musicians are united by their enthusiasm for filling sacred spaces with sound and bringing the unique atmosphere of historic church interiors to life through music.
The concert combines works from the Renaissance and Baroque periods with compositions from the French Romantic era and contemporary elements. The program includes works by Heinrich Schütz, Johann Sebastian Bach, Gabriel Fauré, and Edvard Grieg, among others. It is complemented by original compositions that draw on Gregorian chant and improvisational elements.
