A special summer evening awaits you on Wednesday, August 19, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Church: The Welzin Quartet will present a varied program featuring works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Adalbert Gyrowetz.
The unusual instrumentation—featuring flute, violin, viola, and cello—opens up a rich array of timbres and makes this concert a truly special musical experience. The four musicians—Ernst-Berthold Ahlhorn, Daniela Wilken, Theresa Bosch, and Mareike Heyer—studied at renowned universities, including those in Würzburg, Hamburg, Vienna, and Weimar. Today they live and work in the Klützer Winkel region, where they combine their concert activities with music education and therapeutic work.
The program takes the audience on a journey through three musical worlds: from the profound expressiveness of Bach, through the lightness and elegance of Mozart, to the romantic drama of Gyrowetz.
Admission is free. Donations to support the musicians are warmly welcome. Following the concert, volunteers from the Damshagen Church Support Association will serve drinks and light refreshments. We look forward to an atmospheric summer evening with you!
