The approximately 55 members, aged 8 to 14, remain in the choir for about six years—a period that has a lasting impact on them. The annual Children’s Singing Week at the youth hostel on Lake Mirow is extremely popular. This year, the closing concert of the 58th Children’s Singing Week will once again take place at the Johanniterkirche in Mirow. The program will feature the cantatas for children’s choir and Orff orchestra “Die große Flut” (The Story of Noah’s Ark)
and “The Bremen Town Musicians” by Günther Kretzschmar, as well as works by Schütz and Bach.
Admission is free—donations are welcome
