On the second day, the concert night awaits you with Sind, Die Höchste Eisenbahn and Sam Vance-Law.

With SAM VANCE-LAW, another international act opens the concert night on the second day of the Studio am See festival. Born in Canada, he also lived in England at a young age, where he attended boarding school and learned to play the violin and sing in a choir. These classical influences live on to this day in the music of the Berliner-by-choice, which nevertheless comes across as funky and groovy. In 2018, he won the Pop Culture Award for Most Promising Newcomer with his debut album Homotopia. Three years later, he was once again nominated as Favorite Solo Artist and released his own versions of NDW songs, this time in German. These included Major Tom, which he sang before he became cool again.

And then we come to SIND, who came away empty-handed in the same election for Most Hopeful Newcomer in 2018. But that doesn't matter, they would say in Berlin, as their songs Karlshorst, Templin and Kino Kosmos have already achieved good positions in the Radio Eins charts. After a change, the indie band now essentially consists of Hannes as guitarist, lyricist and lead singer, Ludwig Noack on drums and Mathias Völzke on guitar; but they see themselves as a "family collective with changing friends".

DIE HÖCHSTE EISENBAHN are suddenly back as the next stop. "And it sounds in 2025 like people in 1925 imagined in 1999. Like skyscrapers and flying steam carriages," reads the announcement for the "Ich komm gleich nach" tour from October. We'll be the first to tell you whether they have any new songs in their luggage. We think so: Die Eisenbahn stand for intelligent indie pop with polyphonic mumbled vocals. They filled their six-year break with solo projects. Max Schröder made music with his friend Olli Schulz, Francesco Wilking with the Crucchi Gang and Moritz Krämer with the sad lobsters and the cowardly beauty. Felix Weigt is now a podcaster by profession and actually wanted to give up music altogether.

We then drink our last Wegbier with DJ APOCALYPTO. He skillfully shakes his silver mane during his sets and shows the last visitors of the evening how to dance to songs ranging from rock classics to drum and bass.

Festival at this location since 2021

Studio am See has been taking place in an old industrial hall on Lake Tollensesee since 2021 and has already attracted bands such as Selig, Die Sterne, Bilbao, RAZZ, Nils Frevert & Band, Hundreds and Mia. to the region. Like the up to 600 visitors, the musicians were also delighted with a loving event that always includes local art. More will follow over the course of the summer, which Studio e.V. kicked off on June 21 with the first Fête de la Musique in 777 years of Neubrandenburg's city history. Stay tuned!

Good Music, Jürgen!
