The Roswitha Becker String School invites you.
On March 20 at 6 p.m., Roswitha Becker's string school invites you to a spring concert in the Catholic Church in Teterow. Four string groups will present a varied program to mark the beginning of spring.
The cello orchestra with 15 musicians - reinforced by a double bass player from Malchin - will perform "Spring" from the Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi as well as well-known arias and songs by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert. The highlight is a motet from the oratorio Elijah by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy - impressively performed in 16 voices in Teterow.
The children's group "Streichzwerge" plays Swedish songs from Astrid Lindgren's stories. Together with the Teterow string orchestra, the adult "Streichbrote" perform film melodies such as "New York, New York" and "The Pink Panther", accompanied by Maria Bobzien on the piano.
The young musicians and chamber orchestra will also perform "Morning Mood" from Peer Gynt by Edvard Grieg. The festive finale is the 4th Brandenburg Concerto by Johann Sebastian Bach with two solo flautists, Roswitha Becker on the solo violin and Werner Koch at the conductor's desk and on the organ.
A musical spring prelude full of sound diversity and community.
