Description: Floral motifs can be seen in the artistic design of many facades and interiors of townhouses in Stralsund’s Old Town—whether in the form of paintings or stucco work. Often, these are not even recognized as such. The lecture provides insight into the history of floral ornamentation using examples spanning several centuries. It also invites attendees on a journey of discovery through the history of Stralsund’s townhouses.
Admission is free for members of the Historical Society (guests: 7.50). Due to limited seating, advance registration with VHS Stralsund is strongly recommended.
