Reading & Talk | Moderation: Dr. Uwe Neumann (Kunsthalle Rostock) & Susan Schulz (Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung M-V)
We are living in a time of upheaval: new divisions are emerging, democracy is being shaken by crises and geopolitical challenges are confronting us like never before. In the midst of these profound changes, two bright minds come together: Green politician Ricarda Lang and sociologist Steffen Mau. Together they analyse the major issues of our time - from social inequality and political polarization to the crisis of statehood. In their dialog, they pose pressing questions: How can we free social discourse from the trap of affect politics? What does it take to rethink progress? And how can we strengthen democracy and cohesion in a world characterized by crises? Her book offers no simple answers, but shows why we need open, honest and informed discussions in order to find sustainable solutions. An encouraging contribution to the debate about our common future.
