A special cultural experience awaits locals and guests on Whitsunday, May 24, 2026. At 4 p.m., an extraordinary event will start on the promenade Am Schwarzen Busch, which has never been seen in this form on the island of Poel before.
In an interactive station theater, visitors embark together on an approximately one-hour tour along several venues. Scene by scene, a captivating story unfolds - lively, moving and entertaining at the same time.

The focus is on a lovingly staged bat musical, performed by Carina and Christoph Kohrt. With great versatility, the two actors slip into different roles and tell the story of the bats Flattertom and Flederlilly, whose home is under threat: the old train station in which they live is to be demolished.
At the same time, the audience accompanies the children Jonas and Paula, who do everything they can to help the animals. With humor, suspense and musical interludes, a play about friendship, courage and the protection of nature is created.
The musical combines humorous scenes - for example from the romantic world of bats - with serious topics such as habitat loss and environmental awareness. The audience is also actively involved time and again: whether with small hands-on activities or joint calls - younger guests in particular can look forward to an interactive experience.
The production, which has already generated great enthusiasm in schools, is now being presented on the island of Poel for the first time in a new, open format. The interplay of theater, movement and natural scenery makes this event a special highlight in the calendar of events.
