To celebrate State Zoo Day on Friday, July 10, 2026, the Schwerin Zoo is inviting children and teenagers up to age 14 to visit the zoo for free.
On State Zoo Day, all member institutions of the State Zoo Association participate with a varied special program. The day is supported by the state government. At the Schwerin Zoo, you can look forward to:
- A zoo scavenger hunt with fun puzzles for all ages
- Exciting insights at the Research Camp
- Numerous animal encounters and feedings at the animal enclosures
- Information booths with hands-on exhibits for learning
- and, of course, as always: wonderful moments with the animals, plenty of play opportunities, and delicious snacks and drinks at our food and beverage outlets
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (last admission at 5:00 p.m.)
