The State Hubertus Mass commemorates Saint Hubert, the patron saint of hunters. Accompanied by a group of hunting horn players from the region, the event focuses on our responsibility toward nature and wildlife, as well as the importance of ethical and sustainable hunting.
The State St. Hubertus Mass at St. John’s Church in Neubrandenburg invites everyone to honor St. Hubertus and to focus on humanity’s responsibility toward nature and wildlife. A hunting horn ensemble from the region will provide musical accompaniment for the service.
During this special service, God’s blessing is sought for hunters. At the same time, the service serves as a reminder of the obligation to protect and care for nature, as well as to treat it with respect and in a sustainable manner. The Hubertus Mass makes it clear that animals are fellow creatures of humankind and that protecting their habitats is an important responsibility.
The event is supported by the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Neubrandenburg, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Hunting Association (Landesjagdverband Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e. V.), and the Mecklenburg-Strelitz/Neubrandenburg Hunting Association.
The project is funded by the hunting levy of the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Ministry for Climate Protection, Agriculture, Rural Areas, and the Environment of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern).
