Stern-Combo Meißen is one of the most important rock bands of the former GDR and can look back on more than six decades of band history. The group was founded in 1964 in the Saxon town of Meißen. Based on beat and rock music, the band developed its characteristic style in the 1970s, which combined rock with elements of classical music and made it a formative formation of East German art rock.
With successful concept albums and elaborately arranged compositions, the band earned itself a firm place in German rock history. To this day, the Stern-Combo Meißen continues to thrill audiences with its musical diversity, great enthusiasm and energetic live performances.
