Classical music that moves
The Neue Philharmonie invites you to a concert evening that combines nature, narrative power and virtuosity. Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 "Pastorale" unfolds impressive soundscapes of landscape, tranquillity and movement.
This is contrasted by the viola concerto by Lutz Schumacher: a three-movement work for viola and orchestra in A minor, which, as an homage to "beautiful, old things", combines baroque and church music echoes with an opulent, emotional tonal language and gives the often underestimatedIt gives the often underestimated viola room for great expressiveness between dreaming, crying and laughing - interpreted by the young Spanish violist Luz Elisabeth Sanchez.
The program is rounded off by Gioachino Rossini's rousing overture to "William Tell", which radiates tension and dramatic energy.
Lutz Schumacher will host the evening and will also conduct it together with Andreas Schulz.
