Care Visit
Like no other cemetery in Stralsund, St. Jürgen Cemetery reflects the city’s history in terms of its historical, cultural, and family heritage.
It is a place of remembrance and tranquility. Volunteer work, complementing the maintenance and upkeep efforts carried out by the Hanseatic City of Stralsund, can make a significant contribution to the preservation of this cultural heritage.
Work will continue on the design-oriented enhancement of the defining cemetery structures in the southern section, as outlined in the city’s maintenance plan. Specific tasks will be explained on site. Volunteers are warmly welcome!
Organizational Note
Please bring work clothes (sturdy shoes, work gloves) and tools (spades, saws, pruning shears) if possible.
No prior gardening experience is required. You are free to choose how long you’d like to work.
