In keeping with the spring-like weather, everything revolves around the topic of seeds in the city library on April 15. In addition to the seed exchange, which starts at 4 p.m., Eike Loewke (NaNa natürlich nachhaltig, BNE, Marktschwärmerei Stralsund) invites all interested parties to discover the fascinating world of seeds in a lively mix of interactive lecture and practical workshop.
How is our food produced? Why does organic and regional agriculture start with the selection of seeds? These and other questions are the focus of the lecture "Seeds - sowing diversity, shaping the future". In the practical part, visitors can test their knowledge in a seed quiz and design and fill their own seed bags.
The event is aimed at all curious people - whether adults, families or children - and is the start of a four-part series on organic farming and regional value creation in Stralsund and the surrounding area. The lecture and workshop will take place one after the other in the same room and can also be attended individually. If you would like to take part online, send an email to ub@umweltschulen.de and you will receive an access link. Admission is free.
The seed exchange takes place in cooperation with the Umweltbibliothek e.V., BUND and the allotment garden association Andershof e.V. The lecture and workshop with Eike Loewke are being held as part of the "BioRegAL" funding project.
