Sperger's playing practice of lecture and demonstration

To mark the 150th anniversary of the town of Ludwigslust, the Ludwigslust-Parchim District Music School is dedicating a festival to its namesake, the composer and court double bassist Johann Matthias Sperger (1750-1812) - his music, its roots in the courtly sound world of the 18th century and its lively rediscovery in our time.

An exciting insight into the life and playing technique of Sperger, who is regarded as one of the most important double bassists of his time and continues to set standards today.
