Björn Paulsen is considered one of Northern Germany's most distinctive voices. On August 5, he'll bring his authentic Nordic pop sound right to the harbor in Barth.
He’s all about handmade music, honest lyrics, and North German charm—which makes him a perfect fit for Barth Harbor, more so than most others. Björn Paulsen, a singer-songwriter from Niebüll, will be performing at “Sounds im Sonnenuntergang” on August 5.
For over twelve years, Paulsen has been performing his own blend of Nordic pop, folk, and German-language songwriting. His powerful voice is instantly recognizable, his red beard is his trademark, and his sound goes straight to the heart—sometimes rousing, sometimes quiet, always intimate.
With three albums, several singles, over a million Spotify streams, and nearly 800,000 YouTube views, he’s long since ceased to be an insider tip. He’s opened for Santiano, Johannes Oerding, and Axel Prahl, was part of the Rock’n’Sail cruise with Peter Maffay, and has wowed crowds at major festivals like the legendary Werner-Rennen in Hartenholm. On TV, he’s appeared on VOX, RTL, and HAMBURG 1.
His new song “Wenn Ella lacht” (released on June 20) tells of seeing the world through a child’s eyes—of lightheartedness, wonder, and hope. It’s a song that’s perfect for a summer evening by the water.
Also on the program that evening: street food, cocktails, a harbor atmosphere, a sunset over the Barther Bodden, and an after-show party with DJ Erwin until 10 p.m.
Admission is free. Guests from Zingst can take the free boat shuttle across the Bodden with their FDZ guest card—or take the bus to Barth.
