Who lives without social media today?
Life without social networks seems impossible. But what if you want to become digitally independent?
Digital independence does not mean not using social media. It means using independent networks - for example the decentralized network Mastodon. Mastodon is an independent open source platform that can be used by anyone free of charge. However, there is no algorithm that dictates content to keep your attention. That doesn't sound bad at first, but it does mean that it's not easy to get started as you have to find the right accounts first.
That's why you're welcome to join us in the Hacklab on 01.02.2026, Digital Independence Day, at 13:37, and we'll help you get started.
We'll be there for you from 13:37 to 17:00. If you like, you can also find out how Mastodon works in a technically decentralized way.
