On May 29, 2026, a soapbox race will take place in Hegelstraße from 2:00 pm. Children and young people will compete in teams with self-built soapboxes. Free training is followed by a timed race. The winning team wins the challenge cup. The event is organized by OKJA and the district management.
On May 29, 2026, the open children and youth work together with the district management invites you to an exciting soapbox race in Hegelstraße. From 14:00, the street will be transformed into a lively race track, offering children and young people the special opportunity to take part in a real competition as a team. The teams are formed by the participating children's and youth work institutions and are made up of young people who are pursuing a common goal: to master the race track with creativity, team spirit and courage.
The self-built and individually designed soapboxes take center stage. There are no limits to the imagination of the participants - whether colorful designs, original shapes or creative details: each soapbox becomes a personal project and an expression of their own wealth of ideas. To ensure the safety of all participants, a thorough technical inspection of the vehicles is carried out before each race start. This ensures that all children and young people can start the race safely.
