“Dreams of Life” with Thorsten Rosenbusch and Dr. Eckart Möbius

In the sixth concert of the KON-Takte series on September 11 at 7:00 p.m., classical music lovers can look forward to a special concert experience: Internationally renowned violinist Thorsten Rosenbusch, together with pianist Dr. Eckart Möbius, will present a varied program featuring popular classics and rarely performed gems from the violin repertoire.

The program includes Fritz Kreisler’s “Liebesfreud,” Enrico Toselli’s “Serenade,” Johan Svendsen’s “Romanze,” and Vittorio Monti’s spirited “Csárdás.” The program is complemented by virtuoso rarities such as “Der Kanarienvogel” by Ferdinand Poliakin and “Die Biene” by François Schubert.

Thorsten Rosenbusch performed many of these works in his youth alongside his father, a solo répétiteur at the Metropol Theater in Berlin. These early experiences continue to shape his interpretation to this day.

Rosenbusch served as first concertmaster of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin for over 40 years and collaborated with conductors such as Simon Rattle, Christian Thielemann, and Daniel Barenboim. The artist will be accompanied on the piano by Dr. Eckart Möbius from Schwerin. The two musicians have a close working relationship. In addition to his work as a physician, Dr. Möbius is a sought-after accompanist for art songs and instrumental pieces; he is active in a wide range of chamber music genres and is also a highly successful composer.

Brief introductions will provide insights into the works and their origins. The audience can look forward to an entertaining evening full of virtuosity, emotion, and musical discoveries. The event will take place in the Brigitte Feldtmann Hall at the Conservatory.

The “Kreislaufhelden” team will provide the perfect culinary accompaniment before the event and during the intermission.

Admission to the event is 12 euros, or 8 euros with a discount. Tickets can be purchased at the Kulturforum Schleswig-Holstein-Haus from Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Reservations are not accepted. The Brigitte Feldtmann Hall is accessible to people with disabilities.
