Together for the first time: reading and writing at a leisurely pace
Do you want to finally read or write in peace again, but at home, laundry, dishes, to-do lists, or your smartphone are constantly getting in the way? Then come join us for our first Silent Reading & Writing session in Gerda’s Garage.
We’ll make ourselves comfortable, provide tea, coffee, and pastries, and keep the music off. This creates a quiet space where you can focus entirely on your book or writing project—together with others, but each on your own.
Whether it’s a novel, a diary, poetry, or that long-overdue idea you finally want to put down on paper: everything is welcome at Silent Writing. And during Silent Reading, you can lose yourself in the book you’ve brought along or browse through our selection.
If you’d like, you can leave your smartphone at the counter and completely disconnect from everyday life for a while. In between, there’s time for a short break, a cup of coffee, and—if you’d like—a brief chat with other readers and writers.
Find a cozy spot, open your book, or pull out a pen and paper, and enjoy three hours of focused tranquility—in good company.
