The shanty choir "Seegrund Ahlbeck e.V."

Maritime songs, traditional shanties, the working songs of the sailors, are sung by the shanty choir "Seegrund" e.V. from Ahlbeck, not far from the Oderhaff for all guests in the seaside resort of Ahlbeck on the Baltic Sea coast. Look forward to an entertaining maritime afternoon.

Founded in 2005 by 8 men who love to sing, the choir has developed a passion for shanties.
The choir now comprises 37 singers and musicians from various places in the region.
The repertoire includes 75 sea shanties and around 10 Christmas songs.
Holger Raue is the chairman of the association. The musical direction is in the hands of Reinhard Schattmann.
What began in the small village of Ahlbeck now extends far beyond the borders of the Uecker-Randow region.
