Together with several partners, the Schwerin Nature Conservation Station invites you to a seed swap. There will also be keynote speeches with gardening knowledge and the ongoing exhibition "Schwerin Waterfowl".
It's cold outside and nature is snowed in, but if you want to enjoy a rich harvest from your garden over the course of the year, think about planning and start sowing chili plants soon and tomatoes from March.
The Schwerin Nature Conservation Station and a number of partners are hosting a seed exchange. "Natur im Garten MV" is not only bringing seeds to swap and plenty of information material for all gardeners (and anyone who wants to become one), but will also be passing on knowledge in two keynote speeches so that the season can start successfully soon.
Schedule on Saturday, September 28, 2026:
14:00 - 17:00 - Seed exchange
Impulse lectures from "Natur im Garten MV" (30 - 45 min):
13:00 - "Gardening close to nature - creating habitats"
15:00 - "Growing vegetables and herbs"
Seed exchange:
Seeds will be given for donations or in exchange. Seeds brought along should be labeled (species/variety, year of harvest, location if applicable) so that it is clear which plant will grow from them.
