The Schwerin World Heritage Site: Then and Now, presented in words and pictures by Werner Vehlow.
Did you know that 38 sites—including not only buildings but also parks—are part of the World Heritage Site in our state capital Schwerin? Werner Vehlow, a lifelong resident of Schwerin, has compiled this and much more interesting information for us.
Mr. Vehlow has been photographing construction progress in Schwerin for more than four decades and has developed a unique perspective on the city. In an entertaining slide presentation, he’ll guide us through Schwerin, explaining the architecture and functions of the buildings and sites.
The event, which lasts about one hour, will take place on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the rectory in Conow. Registration is not required; admission is free, and donations are welcome. The Friends of the Conow Church will provide beverages and light refreshments.
