The Sassnitz Community Choir, conducted by Alex Bergstedt, will perform Advent and Christmas carols from around the world.
On December 13 at 5:00 p.m., the Sassnitz Folk Choir will hold its traditional Christmas concert at the Glasbahnhof in the Port of Sassnitz. The program will feature Advent and Christmas carols from around the world. Starting with old German tunes such as “Es ist ein Ros entsprungen” and ranging through Italian, Polish, American, and other songs, the program will conclude with works by contemporary composers, including the well-known “Weihnachtsbäckerei” by Rolf Zuckowski.
The concert will be conducted by Alex Bergstedt, who has been the choir director of this traditional Rügen choir since this summer.
Admission is free; donations are requested at the exit.
