Help for self-help with textiles, wood, metal, electronics + iPhone advice
Repairing instead of buying new. Under this motto, the RepairCafé Waren takes place once a month on the first Wednesday.
Each time from 16:00 to 19:00, last repair acceptance 18:00.
At these meetings, visitors and repair experts examine and repair defective everyday objects together. The volunteers pass on their knowledge to non-professionals and thus help people to help themselves. Tools are available on site. The repair team can provide advice on the procurement of special spare parts. A consultant for your iPhone (apple) would also be available to answer questions about its use.
You can come with portable electrical appliances, household items, wooden toys, stuffed animals, clothing and more.
During the repairing process, refreshments will be provided - coffee and cake will be offered for a small fee in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. The event is organized by the non-profit association WerkHausWaren e.V. The project is supported by the MV Climate and Environmental Protection Foundation.
Repair assistance is generally free of charge. We do not see ourselves as competitors to the repair trade, but as active, committed citizens who are consciously committed to environmental protection, resource conservation and responsible consumer behavior in society.
