The second part of the lecture series on princely marriages with the Nordic dynasties takes us on the trail of Sophie Frederike (1758-1794), sister of Duke Friedrich Franz I, who married the Danish hereditary prince in 1774, and her niece Charlotte Frederike, who married her Danish cousin Hereditary Prince Christian Friedrich (1786-1848), later King Christian VIII, in the summer of 1806.
