The west wing of Ludwigslust Palace, newly presented from May 2026, brings together some important works of art from the 18th and 19th centuries from the SSGK M-V collection. All of the objects on display here are paintings or handcrafted treasures that are closely linked to the history of Ludwigslust Palace. Some of them can be admired in situ for the first time since their extensive restoration.
Dr. Friederike Drinkuth heads the Palaces and Gardens Department of the SSGK M-V, Dr. Jörg Meiner the Research and Exhibition Department in the Palaces and Gardens Department. Both art historians were significantly involved in the restoration of the west wing of Ludwigslust Palace.
