The Lübz Library cordially invites you to a special mystery novel evening with author Smilla S. Clausen. On October 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the author will read from her latest Baltic Sea mystery, *Murder and Seagull Droppings!*, in the Lübz City Hall.
Get ready for a coastal mystery that’s as humorous as it is thrilling, full of surprising twists, quirky characters, and North German charm.
The story centers on Rosi, who really just wants to enjoy some peace and quiet and the view from her balcony. But when blood suddenly drips onto her balcony railing and she discovers a lifeless body, a mysterious game of cat-and-mouse begins: The dead man vanishes without a trace, the police don’t believe her—and Rosi begins investigating on her own. Amid the Baltic Sea breeze, the cries of seagulls, and a seemingly idyllic vacation paradise in Heiligenhafen, she uncovers a web of lies, deceit, and false identities. A mysterious woman with a backpack, a charming neighbor with dark secrets, and a caretaker with nerves of steel make the investigation increasingly murky. And circling overhead are the seagulls, who have apparently seen more than anyone would like.
