Reading from his book: "Forgotten?" The true story of my investigation!

The historian Lukas Bellstedt finds the records of the monk Mamertus, who in 1189 sets off with a knight to pagan Mecklenburg to search for and destroy a lost book. The book is said to describe a ritual with which one can become immortal.
Bellstedt believes it to be the most dangerous book in the world.
While studying the records, Bellstedt is threatened and a young neighbor turns his head.
In the records, he follows the adventures of the two dissimilar men on their way from the Harz Mountains to Dargun in Mecklenburg and reads about Mamertus' deciphering of the Book of Eternal Life.
Then the knight forces the monk to perform the ritual of immortality ...
