Actress and author Tine Wittler reads from her book "Suche Heimat - biete Bier!" Village pub stories of a city refugee. 21.9.2025 - 17:00 - Seehotel Frankenhorst in Schwerin
New home urgently needed!
Tine Wittler - until now a self-confessed city dweller - has had enough of all the hustle and bustle and anonymity in Hamburg and decides to move to the country without further ado. The supposedly perfect house is quickly found, now all she has to do is convince her skeptical husband and the self-important city cat Smöre. Despite unforeseen pitfalls, extensive renovation work and numerous pitfalls, the city fugitives learn to appreciate country life and all its quirks. All that's missing is a new village pub for the village of 60 people - preferably complete with a cabaret stage! And who would be better suited as landlady than the Wittlerin...?
With a lot of wit, charm and a loving look at the peculiarities of the country dwellers, Tine Wittler tells of the differences between town and country, the adventure of old buildings and a wonderful village community that meets daily in her new pub. Tine Wittler's humorous and authentic account of moving from the big city to a village of 60 inhabitants.
