As part of the International Weeks against Racism, Theater Vorpommern is offering a special reading for young people and adults: Music dramaturge Stephanie Langenberg and music theater pedagogue Judith Pritzkat will read from the "Diary of Anne Frank".
Anne Frank's texts are the direct voice of a young girl who had to live in hiding for years - without freedom, without security, in constant fear of being discovered and murdered, and who nevertheless retained her courage to face life and her belief in humanity to the very end. Her diary reveals how persecution and exclusion gradually encroached on daily life - until nothing could be taken for granted. Today in particular, it is a reminder of how quickly social boundaries can be shifted and how vigilant an open society must remain.
The reading is aimed at young people and adults. It invites them to listen, to understand and to see remembrance not as a retrospective, but as a responsibility for the present and the future.
