A feminist evening about equality, numbers, myths - and why "we did have..." is not an argument.
To mark International Women's Day, we are inviting you to a special evening event in cooperation with the City of Schwerin's Equal Opportunities Officer: a reading followed by a discussion with bestselling author Alexandra Zykunov.
Based on her book "Was wollt ihr denn noch alles?!", Alexandra Zykunov will read texts that dispel common myths about equality - full of facts, pointed and with subtle humor. This evening is about structural inequalities, everyday experiences of devaluation and the question of why formal equality does not necessarily mean lived equality.
The event offers space for listening, reflection and exchange - and sends a clear signal for feminist perspectives in public discourse.
To accompany the reading, the bookshop littera et cetera will be providing a book table with books by Alexandra Zykunov and other feminist titles. After the reading, the author will sign newly purchased books and books brought along.
