from the biography of the painter Hans Brass
Hans Brass (1885-1959) is one of the underestimated artistic personalities of classical modernism. His life and work are closely linked to the Baltic resort of Ahrenshoop: The Berlin avant-gardist lived, worked and painted here for over 25 years - with interruptions. The exhibition provides a comprehensive insight into all the creative phases of this original, imaginative and time-critical painter.
Stfean Isensee, grandson of Hans Brass and author of his biography, will be reading on this evening.
