"Railroad on Usedom" - Lecture by Ingo Zander
The railroad has had a decisive influence on the development of the Island of Usedom since 1863. With the connection to the seaside resorts, the number of guests increased steadily. New hotels and restaurants were built and tourism experienced a significant boom. But history was not always carefree: the Second World War brought destruction, and the division of the island into two states also changed the railroad network permanently. In his lecture, Ingo Zander sheds light on the exciting development of the railroad on Usedom - from its beginnings through the turbulent times of the 20th century to its reconstruction after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Numerous historical and current pictures bring the changes to life. An interesting insight into the history of transportation and tourism on our island. For railroad enthusiasts, history buffs and Usedom lovers alike.
The event is free to attend with your UsedomCard (show it when required). Registration is required, limited number of participants! Parking lot Haus des Gastes
The Haus des Gastes/Tourist Information is located at Strandstraße 36 in 17449 Trassenheide. A limited number of free parking spaces are available behind the house (with parking disk). The Festwiese and FOSTRA parking lots in front of the Trassenmoor train stop are also available as alternative parking spaces (subject to a charge). It is approx. 450 m to the Haus des Gastes.

There are public toilets in the Haus des Gastes, including a disabled toilet.
