Folk, singer-songwriter
In the beginning, there were just two guys bawling out funny homemade songs to the strummed chords of a guitar. But holy evolution and a not insignificant dose of "attention deficit syndrome" chased the duo from the eponymous "bunny-killed" meadow - out into the more urban realms! They stripped off their corduroy and spiced up their forest and meadow songs with percussion, electric bass, accordion and polyphonic vocals! For more than six years now, Hasenscheisse have been spreading their idiosyncratic mixture of delicately plucked delicacies for the ear and wildly danceable - wonderfully trivial - bellowing for the legs!
Humorous German lyrics, mostly performed with a large portion of Berlin dialect, meander through long ballads and entertaining songs, sometimes bossa, sometimes waltz, sometimes rockabilly.
The five highly likeable young professionals Christian Näthe (guitar, vocals), Mathias Mengert (vocals, gestures), Sascha Lasch (percussion), Andre Giese (bass) and Stephan Fuchs (accordion) have released three albums to date.
