Jutta Jacobi: Reading from "Queen without a country. Kristina of Sweden"
Christina (or Kristina) of Sweden was born 400 years ago. In the middle of the Thirty Years' War, at the age of six, she lost her father King Gustav Adolf II of Sweden and soon succeeded him. However, she voluntarily withdrew from the throne at the age of 27 and went into exile in Rome.
The Germanist and theater scholar Jutta Jacobi dedicated her latest book "Königin ohne Land. Kristina of Sweden". She presents it on the Island of Usedom, of which the queen was sovereign.
