A Double Dose of Art and City History: An Exclusive Guided Tour of Two Special Exhibitions at the Neubrandenburg Art Collection.
The Neubrandenburg Art Collection cordially invites you to a special guided tour of two fascinating exhibitions that shed light—in very different ways—on the identity, history, and art of our region.
- Neubrandenburg Housing Complex: Art and Life in Prefabricated Buildings: This exhibition explores an architectural and lifestyle model that shapes the “City of Four Gates” like almost no other in Germany: the prefabricated housing complex. Through 20 works spanning recent art history and contemporary art, the exhibition explores how this type of housing and architecture continues to influence the urban landscape and society to this day.
- IN THE HERE AND NOW: Wolfram Schubert. Marking the Centennial: The “Kabinett” exhibition series presents the powerful, vibrantly colored works of the renowned Neubrandenburg artist Wolfram Schubert. He is known—and equally controversial—primarily for his paintings conveying messages of state support. In addition, the artist has worked on a private body of work that reveals his deep connection to people and nature.
