Discover the history of the former Neubrandenburg subcamp on a public guided tour of the Waldbau memorial site. From 1943, the site served as a secret outpost for weapons production and bears witness to the hard forced labor, suffering and hunger of the women from the Ravensbrück concentration camp.
The Waldbau subcamp memorial is located in Nemerower Holz near Neubrandenburg. It preserves the remains of the Ravensbrück subcamp, where a total of around 7,000 women were forced to work for the armaments factory Mechanische Werkstätten during the Second World War. The guided tour offers insights into the conditions under which these women worked and provides information about the historical background.

The tour is free of charge. Registration is not required. The meeting point is the "Frauenkammsilhouetten". Limited parking spaces are available.
Access from Neubrandenburg is via the B96, second forest path on the right (marked by an arrow on a tree).
