The Annalise Wagner Foundation traditionally awards the Annalise Wagner Prize during the "Book Spring".
This regional literature prize is a living legacy of local historian Annalise Wagner (1903-1986) from Neustrelitz. For the 35th time, it draws attention to outstanding texts from or about the Mecklenburg-Strelitz region in the Mecklenburg Lake District. The Annalise Wagner Prize 2026 goes to the Berlin author Helene Bukowski with her novel "Wer möchte nicht im Leben bleiben". The 11th Annalise Wagner Youth Prize goes to Neubrandenburg schoolgirl Luise Hartke for her manuscript "Wahltag. 15.03.2126".
Participation is free of charge. Registration is mandatory via stiftung.bibl@neubrandenburg.de or by calling 0395 555-1333.
This year's award ceremony will take place at the Kulturquartier Mecklenburg-Strelitz in Neustrelitz.
