Three important writers of the 19th century, united by difficult beginnings and literary greatness: Charles Dickens, Edgar Allan Poe and Charlotte Brontë. Dickens reflected his society critically and humorously, Poe founded atmospheric horror, Brontë challenged patriarchal structures with emotional power and under a male pseudonym.
In our exciting staged reading, Dickens and Poe are engaged in an intellectual duel for success and impact, while Brontë consciously goes her own way - free from competition and animosity.
