Lecture by Gunnar Möller, monument conservator, Stralsund

Event organized by the Stralsunder Geschichtsverein e.V. in cooperation with the Gesellschaft für pommersche Geschichte, Altertumskunde und Kunst e.V. and the Kreisvolkshochschule V-R.
The aim is to examine the evidence of poverty and socially marginalized groups in Stralsund on the basis of written, archaeological, architectural and pictorial sources from the 13th to 18th centuries. This section of the population, which made up more than a third of the town's inhabitants, has hardly been dealt with in research to date. The principle applied to historians and archaeologists alike: Poverty makes you invisible. Whether this is really the case will be critically examined using examples from Stralsund.

Free of charge for members of both associations (guests € 7.50). Registration via the VHS Stralsund is recommended.
