The exhibition "unfiltered: kids in (e)motion" shows honest, emotional moments of children and young people playing table tennis. Photographer Theresa Lange captures the game, excitement and community.
Highly concentrated, tense, exuberantly happy: when children play, their faces show the whole spectrum of emotions. The exhibition "Unfiltered: Kids in (E)Motion" is dedicated to precisely these moments - honestly, spontaneously and without staging.
Neustrelitz photographer Theresa Lange accompanied children and young people as they played table tennis, capturing moments that arise entirely during the game: after winning a point, before the decisive shot or when the ball gets caught in the net. The result is pictures full of dynamism and closeness that show what happens when children play together, without a screen, but in direct interaction.
The exhibition can be seen on June 13 from 10 am to 6 pm at the Kulturquartier Neustrelitz as part of the "Ping Pong Palooza" table tennis festival.
The photographs were taken at the opening of the new games room "Zur Kelle" at Zierker Straße 11. After the "Ping Pong Salon", this is already the second place in Neustrelitz where people can come together to play table tennis. The initiator of both projects is the Bürger, Horst & Freund:innen e.V. association.
