Beach Walk with Monika Gerth
We’ll meet at the natural beach in Thiessow on Rügen.
Where the Greifswald Bodden meets the open Baltic Sea, we can see the ever-changing dynamics of the sea particularly well. Pioneer plants along the coast are highly adaptable to this habitat! On an enjoyable walk, we’ll discover the plants—both small and large—that we see every day on the beach but have never really paid much attention to.
There’s so much life in the intertidal zone, too—let’s take a closer look!
Feel free to bring sunscreen and your camera; there will be plenty of time and opportunities for beautiful photos.
