Tuesday, September 15, 2026, 3:30 p.m., Waren (Müritz) Public Library
On September 15, 2026, International Democracy Day, the ISBW cordially invites families with children ages 3 and up to a special picture book screening. The event will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the library and will focus on the important topic of “Children’s Rights and Democracy.”
During the picture book cinema, selected picture books will be presented in large format and read aloud. In a vivid and child-friendly way, young and older visitors alike will learn about the fundamental rights of children. The event not only offers exciting stories but also encourages conversation and reflection together.
The event is aimed at families with children ages 3 and up and provides an accessible introduction to a socially important topic. Values such as respect, equality, and self-determination are conveyed in a playful and age-appropriate manner.
Admission is free. Please register in advance by email, phone, or in person at the City Library.
The City Library and the ISBW look forward to welcoming many visitors, young and old.
Through its “Family Harbors,” the ISBW gGmbH creates places for families to meet, learn, and receive support—currently in the regions of Waren (Müritz), Neubrandenburg, and Greifswald.
The programs are designed for families in various life situations and address topics that are important in the everyday lives of parents and children.
Through events, courses, and open-format activities, the Family Hubs promote exchange, a vibrant sense of community, and local participation.
