The virtuoso young pianist Nikolai Denisov invites you to a musical journey in the Sagard church on September 6. Admission is free.
Two years ago, the Jasmund Association for Music and Art received an original Grotrian-Steinweg concert grand piano from 1906, a valuable historical instrument from the best years of German instrument making.
The piano has been around for three centuries now, and these three centuries are reflected in fascinating compositions for piano. Many famous pieces such as "Für Elise" were composed for piano, and there is hardly a piece of music for which there is not also a piano version. Entire operas, some of which last several hours, have been transcribed for piano in thick books, as have symphonies, film music, rock songs and current pop music.
The young pianist Nikolai Denisov invites you on a virtuoso musical journey through these three centuries on September 6, 5 pm, in the Sagard church. Works by Liszt, Grieg, Debussy, Rachmaninov, Glass and Einaudi will be performed in the beautiful acoustics of the large St. Michael's Church in Sagard, including works with breathtakingly fast and difficult parts that can be experienced up close in the church.
