The cover band “Pfefferminz” was supposed to perform as early as 2021, but that wasn’t possible because of the pandemic….
Longtime bassist Aldo Staegemann has since left the band; he has been replaced by Jochen “Yoko” Neumann from Oldesloe. The core of the band remains, consisting of founder and singer Andreas “Hebby” Gramkow, guitarists Jockel Lüdeke and Heiko Siebert, as well as Sunny Petersson on drums and Dirk Meissner on saxophone and keyboard. What has also remained is their love of music and a success story that is second to none. The band has made a name for itself nationwide with over 1,200 performances, whether at festivals, city festivals, or in the country’s renowned clubs. In addition to Marius Müller-Westernhagen, the band has crossed paths with many artists such as Smokie, Klaus Lage, Right Said Fred, the Hermes House Band, Matthias Reim, Gregor Meyle, Suzi Quatro, Marianne Rosenberg, Sweet, Torfrock, and many others…
After more than 1,000 concerts across Germany, Andreas “Hebby” Gramkow is drawn back to the bars and clubs—specifically the small, intimate ones where live music is played. He’s joined by his trusted guitarists “Jockel” Lüdeke and Heiko Siebert, as well as Yoko Neumann on bass.
Some of the songs are getting a new lease on life with a completely fresh take. There’s plenty of blues and swing; stylistically, everything gets shaken up and mixed with percussive elements… and it feels really good… we’re having a lot of fun with the audience… and that’s exactly how it should be!
