Whitsun concert with Thomas Putensen
Whitsun concert: A Biege-Krug-Putensen evening
Wild etudes & tender songs
Ten years ago, in October 2016, the gifted actor, singer and entertainer Manfred Krug died. His songs are a wonderful contemporary document that still exude the zeitgeist of a long-lost country. The music has a freshness of life that can be effortlessly transported into the present day...
On the Saturday before Whitsun, Thomas Putensen will be performing the songs of Manfred Krug, Holger Biege and his own songs. Such a combination of powerful and sensual songs is rarely heard on local stages. It probably has a unique selling point in its versatility and vocal difficulty. However, this rare mix of songs is not only due to Putensen's special enthusiasm for the artists Biege and Krug. Above all, it embodies an unmistakable joy in playing the lyrics and compositions of the 70s, which is inevitably reflected in Putensen's own songs.
It's not just about making music - it's about telling stories, reminiscing, marveling and above all: singing along! Because singing along is expressly encouraged - in the spirit of those shared musical moments that were once part of everyday life.
