Pensioner Philip Klappbrot is on vacation on the coast and wants to experience an adventure that he can really show off at the regulars' table back home.
Klappbrot is paying for his nephew Alfred to study psychology and so he comes up with the idea of seeing the inside of a real mental hospital. So that it doesn't come out that Alfred isn't studying at all, the nephew pretends that Pension Schöller is a lunatic asylum.
"Pension Schöller" has been making audiences laugh for over 100 years with its quirky entanglements and plump comic characters. THEATER AM RING has taken on this material and presents its version of this evergreen classic in Uwe Grün's adaptation.
